Airport Information
(Grenoble, France)
Conveniently sited within the very heart of the French Rhone-Alps region, Grenoble Isere Airport (GNB) is around 40 km / 25 miles north-west of the town of Grenoble. The airport has become the ideal gateway into the many booming companies and industries located within the Grenoble area itself.
This part of France regularly hosts literally millions of business people and tourists, many of which fly into Isere Airport and head straight for the nearby ski resorts. Renovated in 2002, Grenoble Airport's single terminal provides quick and easy access to the myriad attractions of the area, and is open between the hours of 07:00 and 20:00. Although Grenoble Isere is only a small airport, it handles well over 850,000 passengers each year and provides all of the essentials needed to make any trip a success.
Isere Airport can be reached by car from Grenoble in about 30 minutes by taking Highway A48 towards Lyon and turning off at the airport exit. Regular bus services are also provided from the city centre's train station to the airport, being operated by the Isere Transit Authority and also connecting neighbouring ski resorts, while taxis are readily available to whisk passengers straight to the terminal.
